Tips for writing Answer Sheet
Dear students, You have prepared for examinations. You have studied the topics of your syllabus very well and ready for exams. But it's 100% true that you will get marks by examiner based on your answer sheet. Examiner neither know you nor your knowledge. It's the answer sheet which is your intro to him/her. So you have to introduce yourself nicely. i.e, Writing the answer sheet nicely. Then the big question is that how to write?
You have to impress the examiner by a good representation of your knowledge in your answer sheet. Good impression on his/her mind will help you to score high marks. So it's important that you should write the exam appropriately and present your answers in the best way.
Besides writing your answers correctly, the presentation also matters a lot. In fact, scoring good marks is all about the presentation. You have to answer in such way that examiner need not to need not to put extra effort to check your answer.
Tips/suggestions to make answer sheet look presentable:
• Write the question number against each answer properly. It should be clearly visible. It does not matter, you start with the first question or last as long as you are writing the correct question number.
• Write the section name clearly. Try to put all answer of the one section together. However if any question remains left, then, write it at last. (When all section completed)
• Leave 1-2 lines after attempting each answer to make two different answers look distinct and clearly differentiated from each other. You can use a straight line after ending of each answer.
• Underline each heading/subheading in the answer.(Don't waste your time for decorating)
• Include as many diagrams, tables, charts, etc., as possible. It will help to make your knowledge more noticeable than long paragraphs.
• Try to keep your answers short and concise. Don't cross the word limit. Try to write long answers in points or bullets with properly highlighted headers and sub-headers. Make the important points highlighted/underlined.
• Don't try to give extra time on handwriting. Since first 2-3 page you will maintain but after that due to shortage of time you degrade your original handwriting as well as content. So maintain uniform handwriting.
• Draw a two-inch border (wherever required for rough work) on the right side of the page of your answer sheet.
(Doing the rough work anywhere in the sheet will make it look untidy.)
• Whenever you make mistake and need to cut a word/sentence or an answer, just draw a line with your pen over that particular text/word. Avoid scribbling or scratching as it will make your answer sheet look messy and unclean. Please note that Correction pen is not allowed.
• If page/pages are left blank by mistake in between your answers (you turned 2page and start writing) then write PTO (Please Turn Over) on page so that examiner check your next page answers.
Bonus tip
• Never leave any question unattempted
Since there is No negative marks, try to attempt all questions even if you find any question beyond your understanding. Write whatever you know related to that topic. Obviously you have to do this at last.
• Recheck the answers and their Numbering with question paper before submitting. Their is no extra marks for submitting earlier than the alloted time. So no need to hurry or be oversmart.
I hope this will help you.
